Before and During Surgery

Your music therapy started in the days leading up to your surgery will continue on into the day of your surgery as you enter the ward.

On arrival in the surgical theatre as you begin to drift off to sleep, a personalised music or sound playlist designed by you with Sarah, will be played throughout your procedure.

This evidence based music therapy  is intended to cultivate a reduction in anxiety, decrease need of sedatives and opioids. It also reduces physiological stress response markers such as heart rate, blood pressure and cortisol levels. All  ensuring a  peaceful environment for your healing journey.
